A philosophy of physical experiment and research has led the award-winning company from intimate in-the-round storytelling through promenade Jacobean tragedy and out onto the streets for the wordless drama of dance at speed and height on the Urban Playground.

Prodigal are an associate company to the Brighton Festival and Dome. From 2002 until 2010 Prodigal reopened and ran the Nightingale Theatre in Brighton. They continue as directors to its board. Prodigal maintains ongoing partnerships with Teatro Della Contraddizione, Milan, and Dah Teatar, Belgrade. The company patron is Steven Berkoff.
