Prodigal co-founder Miranda trained as a dancer in the UK, and at the Duncan Conservatoire in Prague. Working as a performer and director Miranda has taught extensively both nationally and internationally.  She has been co-actor-manager of the Nightingale Theatre since 2004. She is the director/dramaturge of the multi-award winning Tragedian Trilogy and performed as the Duchess of Malfi in “Ten Thousand Several Doors” which won “Best Show” at the 2006 Brighton Festival. She was the eponymous lead in “Queen of the Slaughter” which won an “Argus Angel” there in 2007. She is also the choreographer of Prodigal’s Urban Playground team with whom she performs and she is the lead devisor of all Prodigal’s work. She is the director/dramaturge of “The Quake”.
After training in the UK Alister joined Dah Teatar, a Belgrade based theatre laboratory working in the Odin Tradition with whom he worked from ’97 - ’99 when he co-founded Prodigal Theatre. Alister has been co-actor-manager of the Nightingale Theatre since 2004. He is the writer/performer of the multi-award winning Tragedian Trilogy and performed as Bosola in “Ten Thousand Several Doors” which won “Best Show” at the 2006 Brighton Festival. He performed as the revenger in “Queen of the Slaughter” which won an “Argus Angel” there in 2007. He is the lead member of Prodigal’s Urban Playground Team, and Prodigal’s spokesperson.
Born 1965 in Mexico City, Ignacio trained as a classical musician in Vienna. He made his professional debut in small Austrian Theatres as assistant conductor, accompanist and singer. He moved to Paris in 1993 where he directed an independent Opera Company and established an ongoing collaboration with France's 1st TV channel creating artistic events internationally. With Prodigal he performed as Cariola in “Ten Thousand Several Doors” which won “Best Show” at the 2006 Brighton Festival. He performed as the barkeep in “Queen of the Slaughter” which won an “Argus Angel” there in 2007. He performs as “Caruso” in “The Quake”.
Chris toured internationally as bassist for the Martin Raphael Jazz Trio and subsequently with his own bands. He is currently working with traditional English folk music. His other passion over twenty years has been fencing, as a competitor and then as a student of classical & historical fence. In 1999 he began transcribing the works of the 16thC Italian master - Vincentio Saviolo. He is a British Federation of Historical Swordplay certified instructor and has demonstrated his art at the Wallace Museum and Shakespeare’s Globe. With Prodigal he performed as Death in “Ten Thousand Several Doors” which won “Best Show” at the 2006 Brighton Festival. He also performed as the Soldier in “Queen of the Slaughter” which won an “Argus Angel” there in 2007.
Peter has worked in the theatre for over thirty years. He was trained at Wimbledon College of Art, London, and has a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Design/Scenography. Over the past 10 years, Peter’s theatre work has been concerned with producing, devising and designing new work based on classic renaissance plays in collaboration with the Director, Jane Collins – including the award winning “Ten Thousand Several Doors”. Also with Prodigal Peter has designed and costumed the award winning Tragedian Trilogy and Queen of the Slaughter. During this time, he has also been an Associate Designer for the Royal Ballet at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London.
Since graduating from the Visual and Performing Arts (Theatre) BA course at Brighton University in 1995 Chris has worked, both in the UK & internationally, as a lighting designer, production manager, composer & sound engineer for numerous performance companies including The People Show; Sound & Fury; Theatre & Beyond; Periplum; Barb Jungr; High Spin; Swamp Circus; Bright FX; Schtanhaus / Beggarsbelief; Bandbazi; & Brighton Theatre Events. With Prodigal Chris designed the lighting for the award winning Tragedian Trilogy, Ten Thousand Several Doors and Queen of the Slaughter. He tours internationally with his band Wevie Stonder.
The company enjoy ongoing collaborations with Dah Teatar, Belgrade; Teatro Della Contraddizione, Milan; and Gravity Style, Paris.

In 2002 Prodigal reopened the Nightingale Theatre with Steven Berkoff as the venue’s patron. Prodigal are the resident company and actor-managers of the space. For more information on the venue and its policy go to www.nightingaletheatre.co.uk
